MAN OF LA MANCHA

MILITARY CARE PACKAGES
During the month of May, Outlets at Castle Rock will partner with Home Front Cares to assemble care packages for our military men and women serving overseas. Bring any of these items (unisex, unless otherwise indicated) to Customer Service and the Outlets will do the rest: socks, underwear (male/female – all sizes), hats, gloves, t-shirts, lotions, hand-sanitizers, lip balm, post cards, sunglasses, long underwear and a message to a serviceman or servicewoman.

MEADOWGRASS MUSIC FESTIVAL
Start the festival season right with one of Colorado’s most eclectic music events, held annually over Memorial Day weekend at the beautiful La Foret Conference and Retreat Center in Black Forest. TERRITORY DAYS!
The 42nd Annual Territory Days celebration starts Memorial Day weekend in the historic district of Old Colorado City. The block party will feature live music, food, fun and entertainment for the entire family. This is one of the state’s largest craft fairs, highlighted with pony rides, a kids’ play area, petting zoo, mechanical bull, toy train rides, gold panning, Wild West gunfight reenactments, live blacksmithing, period costumed characters, native American dancers and two beer gardens!

IN MEMORY OF…
Evergreen Cemetery Benevolent Society will be hosting a Buffalo Soldier Commemoration at the Spanish American War site to acknowledge the 10th US Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers this Memorial Day. Events include the Pikes Peak Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution presentation, historic reenactors, World War II history displays and reflections on the lives of fallen heroes. A butterfly release will end the ceremonies at approximately 12:30 p.m.

REMEMBERING VETS
Join the people of Parker as they remember their veterans this Memorial Day. Special events include patriotic songs performed by the 101st Army Brass Quintet; a welcome speech by The Honorable Mike Waid, mayor of Parker; a presentation of colors by United States Marine Corps; the national anthem performed by the Parker Chorale; 21-gun salute and TAPS rendition, plus the folding of the U.S. Flag by the United States Marine Corps. SCRATCH ANIMATION

More than 100,000 older adults will participate in activities at thousands of locations throughout the country to celebrate National Senior Health and Fitness Day.
