Originally from Alabama, Rocky Dale Davis is a comedian who is currently based in Las Vegas. You may have seen him on Kevin Hart’s Hart of The City on Comedy Central or MTV’s Greatest Party Stories Ever. As a finalist at the Laughing Skull Festival, Davis was named a Comic to Watch at the New York Comedy Festival. and most recently was selected as a New Face of Comedy at the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal.

WHEN WOMEN RULED THE WORLD
At first glance in a history book, women in power are not exactly jumping off the pages. Or are they? In this illuminating presentation, Dr. Kara Cooney, professor of Egyptology, highlights a time in ancient history when women ruled the world. Although powerful women in ancient Egypt were the exception to the rule, their power and influence is undeniable. 

Cleopatra used her feminine wiles—and her money—to build alliances with warlords of the Roman empire. Neferusobek was the first woman to definitively take the title of King. Nefertiti is known more for her beauty than for bringing a fractured Egypt together. What can we learn from how these women ruled? Dr. Cooney shares some illuminating answers.

PARENTS’ NIGHT OUT

The movie is Despicable Me, about a super-villain, Gru, and his army of little yellow minions, who decide to steal the moon. CASINO NIGHT

CURTAIN CALL AT THE MANSION 
Start spreading the news…Ol’ Blue Eyes is back! Get your dancing shoes on and head over to the Highlands Ranch Mansion for a thoroughly entertaining evening. Tuxedo Junction brings back the best Frank Sinatra tunes and recreates the swing era from the 1930s and the big band era from the 1940s. From swing to Latin rhythms, Tuxedo Junction will keep you dancing the whole night long. This evening is for ages 21 and over.

VIENNA BOYS CHOIR
One of the most famous choirs in history can trace its origins back to the 1400s. The awe-inspiring vocals of the Vienna Boys Choir can be heard this weekend in Colorado Springs! The group is comprised by 100 boys between the ages of 10 and 14 from countries all over the globe, and their repertoire ranges from medieval to contemporary music.

A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE

VETERANS DAY CONCERT BY COMPOSERS WHO SERVED
A unique and innovative way to celebrate Veterans Day—with a concert featuring composers whose work reflected the wars that happened in their lifetimes. Several composers on the program wrote music during World War I.

American composer Charles Ives wrote a trio of war songs, while French composer Maurice Ravel wrote compositions dedicated to the memory of specific friends who had been killed in battle. British composer Vaughan Williams fought in World War I, serving in France and Salonika. Two other composers on the program also served in their national armies: Austrian Fritz Kreisler served two stints in the Austrian army in the early 1900s, and American composer Samuel Barber joined the Army Air Corps during World War II.

TIBETAN SINGING BOWLS
Tired of the mundane? Stuck in your daily routine? Give yourself an extraordinary experience with the healing vibrations of Tibetan Singing Bowls. This is a class that includes a mixture of sound healing tools using crystals and Tibetan singing bowls to balance the body, mind and emotions.  Subtle movement and breath work allows students to tune in as they are surrounded by the vibrations of singing bowls. Instructor Emma Kelleher urges students to bring a mat or comfortable seat for this concert of vibrations and sound.
