The Best (Worst) White Elephant Gifts
The whole point of a white elephant gift-giving party is to find the worst, most laughable, least desirable gift imaginable to give to another party-goer. Well, we collected the best of the worst white elephant ideas to help you find the perfect holiday amusement. And while some of the white elephant gifts we found are actually useful, most of these ideas will give everybody at your party the giggles.
Local Retailers
From the Pocket IQ test and Unicorn Tape Dispenser, to the Beer Bottle Opener Ring and Mr. and Mrs. Doo (look it up, we can’t say it in mixed company!), you’ll find a world of options at the World Market in Lone Tree. Just off of Chester and north of County Line Rd., across from Park Meadows Mall and about 15 minutes from Crystal Valley, World Market also has a snowman that poops jelly beans and a pen that tells your fortune! What a great gift as we approach the dawn of 2019.
Walmart at has its very own gag gift collection where you can find whoopie cushions, gassy-sounding noisemakers and realistic eyeballs to plop in someone’s drink or water glass. The store at 133 Sam Walton Lane in Castle Rock should also have our personal favorite, hoax stickers. Made for pranksters, these say “Voice Activated” and “Motion Activated” and if you slap them on an ordinary gift, you can videotape a friend yelling loudly or waving vigorously at the object to activate it. These might actually be in high demand for a white elephant exchange!
Laughable and Tacky
These white elephant gifts will make you laugh, just looking at the pictures! The ideas on the White Elephant Rules website, which incidentally enumerates the game rules, in case you’re unfamiliar, are gag gifts extraordinaire!
From a Toilet Bowl mug (we can’t EVEN imagine drinking a latte out of this!) or a beard hat, to a stack of novelty cups called “Pick Your Nose” – something you’ll want to open on the spot and create a party game of its own!
You can find weird and funny white elephant gifts on the Off the Wagon Shop website, from a yodeling pickle Christmas ornament, to bacon candy and nose flutes. And Amazon has a whole section of its website devoted to white elephant gifts – from candles that start out smelling great, then smell terrible, to a potty putter toilet game. We’re not sure it will improve anyone’s golf game, but it’s a fun diversion, while seated on the throne.
Practical White Elephant Gifts
