Summer Camps and Gyms Are Back!
Gyms and summer day camps have reopened in the Crystal Valley vicinity! You can sign the kids up now for Day Camp in Lone Tree, Parker, and the South Suburban area. Camps for all ages are available in a wide range of interests. Gyms in Douglas County have also been given the go-ahead to open their doors, and Planet Fitness is even offering free workouts for teens all summer!

South Suburban Parks and Recreation is running hundreds of day camp programs this summer, including several at their Lone Tree location. Kids in different age groups can enroll in All-Day Camp: Club Lone Tree for K-9 and Camp X-plosion for ages 10-14.
Other summer camps that are running for shorter classes on weekdays include specialized interests like robotics, cooking, art, acting, adventures in STEM with Legos, sports, and more. Facilities have been re-opened in accordance with the Safer at Home guidelines, including reduced facility capacities, limiting gatherings, enforcing social distancing guidelines, enhancing cleaning and sanitization efforts, using PPE and more.

DAY CAMP AT PARKER ARTS
You can find a wide variety of ALL kinds of camps for kids—from art to science and tech to theater to video and film to music and dance—there’s even a production of Guys and Dolls through the Youth Summer Musical program! STORYTIME “AT” THE LIBRARY
For now, your favorite Douglas County Library branch is still online, so that’s where you need to “go” when it’s time for a story! HIT THE GYM!
Douglas County residents are among the first in the state to get back to the gym! What’s it look like? The Denver Channel reports that new guidelines include increased sanitation and every-other cardiac machine turned off to ensure social distancing. Gyms will also be operating at decreased capacity. Face masks are recommended but not required. Staff, however, will be wearing face masks and will have their temperatures taken prior to their shifts.
Chuze Fitness in Highlands Ranch is now open with new safety protocols. Planet Fitness gyms in Castle Rock and Parker are also open—and they are offering teens the chance to work out for free all summer! LifeTime Fitness in Parker is back, too—including classes with a new reservations policy.
