FALL FESTIVAL ON THE FARM
Spend the day out in the countryside at Parker’s favorite ongoing Fall Festival! You can choose a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch and let the little ones visit the adorable animals in the petting zoo. This fun event is designed with younger kids in mind—complete with duck races, a hay-bale maze, an obstacle course, and a hayride!

VISIT A HAUNTED MANSION
If a good old-fashioned, scary-but-not-gory haunted house will get you in the Halloween spirit, check out the Reinke Brothers Haunted Mansion! This family-run scare-fest is filled with amazing animatronics, including a whole cast of funhouse clowns and banjo-playing swamp folk. Almost everything in this house moves!
Even though you won’t encounter bloody scenes, this haunted house IS scary, and designed for adults. For younger children, there’s a daytime “lights-on” version of the haunted house tour on weekend days.

NATURE HOMESCHOOL
Designed for children ages 7-13, this Backcountry Wilderness program gives kids a chance to get out in nature for a hands-on way to explore lessons they’ve learned about in school.
With an experiential approach to scientific inquiry, these lessons are built with the Colorado State Education Standards in mind.

DRIVE-IN SING-A-LONG
A combination of a drive-in movie and an old-fashioned sing-a-long, you won’t want to miss the fun of watching The Greatest Showman at PACE Center’s Drive-In movie series! Lyrics to all of the songs in the movie will be displayed on the screen so you can sing along! The Greatest Showman, starring Hugh Jackman, is the history of show business itself, with bold and original performances.

HAUNTED BACKCOUNTRY
A haunted house is nothing compared to an entire haunted forest! If you dare, walk through the gates of the Backcountry Wilderness Area Haunted Forest. Every bush and tree may be hiding a creepy creature or ghoulish sight. As you walk through this three-quarter-mile trek through the woods, you’ll discover all kinds of Halloween surprises lurking in the shadows. For ages 10 and up.
COVID-19 precautions will be in place and you must sign up for a specific time slot.

Reapers Hollows is the home of a very spooky mausoleum, and Dead End Motel can be accessed only by way of a deserted corn field. If you dare, venture outside the creepy motel into Goblins Grove, where many enter but few return…

SHOCKTOBER VIRTUAL HAUNTED HOUSE
Get ready for TEN HOURS of scary when you sign up for the Virtual Shock Live Stream! These are seriously creepy, gory, enter-at-your-own-risk kinds of haunts. Shocktober is coming straight to your TV in a virtual walkthrough haunted Carlheim Manor and the Well of Souls. All attractions are PG-13, designed to be extremely scary and intense. Not recommended for young children.
Gather your safe people together and have a Shock Party! During your virtual visit, you’ll encounter the scares, terrors, and paranormal investigations that make this mansion one of the scariest in the country. Each two-hour episode will take you through the history, the horrors, and the true haunt you feel every time you walk through the mansion doors.

NON-SCARY CORN MAZE
If you prefer a less scary way to celebrate the season, the Corn Maze at Chatfield Farms is just what you’re looking for. Nothing jumps out at you—it’s just seven acres of corn that you make your way through, trying to find the end. Before or after you attempt the maze, check out the 15-foot illuminated bridges where you can look over the entire maze. Social distancing and mask-wearing are required.

ADAM PASCAL
This Broadway performer has been nominated for a Tony Award, and in this intimate one-man show, Adam Pascal takes you through the journey of his life in theater so far. Beginning with Rent and Aida, Pascal recreates his performances and continues on with Pretty Woman.

GHOST TOWN HOEDOWN

Treat younger kids to a haunted house tour that won’t scare the living daylights out of them! This special “lights-on” tour gives a behind-the-scenes look at how a Halloween haunted house works. This is a Universal Studios-type of guided tour through the Haunted Mansion with the lights on and most of the special effects off. Best of all, all the “monsters” will be taking their lunch break, so no one will jump out and scare you!

CREEPY CRAWLIES FALL FESTIVAL
This festive outdoor fall festival offers a fun way to learn about nature and science! Kids will love screaming over the creepy crawlies on display from the Douglas Land Conservancy, featuring some of Castle Rock’s creepiest creatures such as snakes, spiders, toads, owls, and roaches.
The festival also includes a pumpkin patch from The Local Colorado, where you can buy a pumpkin while supplies last. The whole family will enjoy activities such as pumpkin painting, giant tic-tac-toe, guessing games, and a decorated photo station.
