SCREENING: SECRETARIAT
Secretariat was an American thoroughbred racehorse who, in 1973, became the first Triple Crown winner in 25 years. The 2010 movie starring Diane Lane follows Penny Chenery Tweedy, a housewife and mother who agrees to take over her ailing father’s Virginia-based stables – despite her lack of horse-racing knowledge. With a veteran trainer, played by John Malkovich, they guide the long-shot stallion to an unbeaten record for the Triple Crown. Wonderful family entertainment that will have you cheering!

BLUEGRASS BUDDIES
Grand Gordy and Ross Martin are known for a balance of composed melodies and improvisation, with a combined repertoire that ranges from fiddle tunes to jazz standards, original compositions to traditional hymns. This pair of bluegrass buddies will share billing with Out of Nowhere, a five-member group playing bluegrass and original acoustic music. This group takes traditional tunes and gives them a custom spin, with duet harmonies for an evening of entertainment you won’t want to miss.

Disney’s 1993 movie Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey follows three pets as they travel across mountains and plains on their way to find their owners. EMERGING TALENT: IRELAND
Parker Arts’ new Uncharted Music Series features artists and bands considered emerging talent with fresh sounds that are causing a stir and building momentum across the country.
This weekend you’ll hear the critically acclaimed Irish band Danú, a premier traditional Irish ensemble of players on flute, tin whistle, fiddle, button accordion, bouzouki and vocals (Irish and English). Danú has delighted audiences worldwide and has made stops at The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and Symphony Space in New York City.
