There are plenty of family-friendly activities in the Crystal Valley area this weekend! Kids of all ages can choose from backcountry events that let them get up close to barnyard animals. When it comes to the arts, this weekend marks the long-awaited return of the Colorado Ballet in an in-person performance!

VIRTUAL CLASSICAL MUSIC
There’s nothing like uplifting movie music to pick you up! This virtual classical music concert performed by members of the Colorado Symphony brings Hollywood’s magic into your home!
Enjoy music from classic movies such as The Wizard of Oz and James Bond, as well as unforgettable songs of Disney movies and the masterful orchestral scores of John Williams. Tickets are FREE, but registration is required.

COMEDIAN AL JACKSON
Lots of laughs either live or virtual when Al Jackson takes the stage! Jackson is a television host, comedian, and actor. He co-hosts the nationally-broadcast talk show Daily Blast Live and regularly contributes to weekly segments on the Bob & Tom Radio Show.
You may have seen him in HBO’s 2 Dope Queens as a stand-up comedian or in one of his many appearances on BBC Guinness Book of World Records’ show Officially Amazing. He was also featured on John Oliver’s New York Stand Up Special and Dave Attell’s Comedy Underground. If you prefer to watch from home, you can also attend virtually through a live stream event.

COP COMEDY
Vinnie Montez brings his 20+ years of experience as a cop to the stand-up stage in a show that builds on some unbelievable stories. He first got into comedy as a means of addressing the stress and trauma of dealing with horrible situations.
His first comedy special debut was on Dry Bar Comedy, released in 2019, Vinnie Montez: Armed & Hilarious. You can laugh at his funny stories live and in-person or as a livestream.

ANIMAL MEET AND GREET
Your preschooler will have a blast meeting the barnyard of friendly farm animals! Come out to feed the chickens, pet the goats, and listen to the resident donkey Thor as he “sings” his favorite songs.
Kids will also enjoy free play in the Nature Play Space and surrounding forest area. A parent is required to stay on-site with their child to help ensure social distancing and supervise their child. One parent may be responsible for multiple children.

Celebrate everyday heroes—the public safety officers who help keep us safe and healthy. RETURN OF COLORADO BALLET!
See the first live performance in over a year by the dancers of Colorado Ballet! They’ve been hard at work practicing through all these months and are excited to share the culmination of their work.
The program is full of variety with new works choreographed by Colorado Ballet’s dancers, as well as classical variations, pas de deux, and contemporary ensemble pieces. Live streams of every performance will also be available for anyone who is unable to attend in-person.
