BEFRIEND A FURRY FACE
The Dumb Friends League Buddy Center shelter in Castle Rock is hosting an open house today to introduce you to all the volunteer opportunities at the shelter. The Buddy Center provides loving care, vital services and a second chance at life and happiness to thousands of homeless dogs, cats and small pets. Animal-lovers who want to help are invited to stop by for refreshments, to meet the staff, tour of the shelter and find out how to make a difference in the lives of homeless pets. Volunteers must be 16 years old.

A NIGHT WITH THE CORONER
Former Douglas County Coroner Lora Thomas returns to Cherokee Castle to present another installment in the fascinating crime-solving series, A Night with The Coroner, with Mitch Morrissey, a Denver DA for 12 years. Morrissey will look at the first forensic DNA case ever (involving Colin Pitchfork), as well as the BTK Killer and other serial offenders. Proceeds from ticket sales support suicide prevention efforts.

BYE BY BIRDIE
The first-ever rock ‘n’ roll musical takes the stage in an all-new production. It’s the late 1950’s and teenagers from across the United States are going crazy for handsome rock star, Conrad Birdie. Disaster strikes when Conrad receives a draft notice to join the military. His manager stages a publicity stunt for Conrad to kiss one lucky fan on The Ed Sullivan Show before he leaves for the army, but Conrad Birdie gets more than he bargained for. Songs like Put on a Happy Face, One Boy, A Lot of Livin’ to Do and Spanish Rose are just some of the musical theatre classics from this presentation.

JAZZY BEATLES RENDITIONS
This series features some of Colorado’s finest jazz musicians coming together in a soul-satisfying jam session for jazz lovers. Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra’s saxophonist Wil Swindler leads his highly-acclaimed Elevenet group in a Beatles’ tribute reprising songs from Abbey Road, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Magical Mystery Tour and the White Album.
