KIDS’ NEW YEAR’S EVE COUNTDOWN
If you’d like to get out and about and let the kids celebrate New Year’s Eve a little early, with lots of play time, craft time, and making New Year’s resolutions, here’s a short trip to Highlands Ranch for some NYE fun! FIREWORKS IN CASTLE ROCK
Another one of those “silver linings” of 2020—Castle Rock doesn’t normally do fireworks on New Year’s Eve, but because of the fire restrictions this past Fourth of July, the town has some fireworks to set off!
The year will end on a bang with a fireworks show being launched above the Red Hawk Golf Course. There will be no gatherings of groups due to COVID-19, but the fireworks will be visible from almost anywhere in the area!

GET SLIMED!
If your kids need to work off some excess energy and have fun with friends, this Slime Session may be just the ticket! FINAL NIGHTS OF HOLIDAY LIGHTS
This is your last chance to view the lovely old-fashioned holiday lights of Schweiger Ranch! It’s a short drive out to the countryside to behold one of the best holiday light displays in the area! CARPENTER PEAK ADVANCED HIKE
For teens and adults who want to tackle a 6.3-mile hike on the first day of 2021, register for this First Day Hike to Carpenter Peak with Naturalists Paul Bleau and Dave Thomas. At 7,175 feet, it is the highest point in the park and provides a spectacular 360-degree view spanning downtown Denver to Pike National Forest. All vehicles need a pass to enter the park.
