Dance at The Winter Ball!

POSTED January 30, 2025

Kick up your heels at The Winter Ball this weekend and dance with your favorite partner! If you’re not in the mood to boogie, take in a play, a concert (Lyle Lovett’s coming to Colorado soon!) a symphony or a comedy performance (Christopher Titus!). There’s lots to do in Castle Rock and surrounds for residents of the master-planned community of Crystal Valley!

TODAY/TONIGHT: Thursday, January 30

THE LOVE LETTER PROJECT
Community members can brighten the days of Colorado veterans this year by making cards through a local arts project. The Love Letter Project offers free card-making kits and a mailbox to drop off completed cards. The cards will be delivered to local veterans in time for Valentine’s Day.

If you have some extra time and a heart to serve, writing letters can create a meaningful connection that honors and uplifts veterans, showing them they are valued and remembered. Organizers say it’s a way to show kindness and compassion to those who have served our country. Drop off your cards at the mailbox outside of ROX Arts Gallery in Aspen Grove at 7301 S. Santa Fe Dr., Suite 222 by February 2.

The Heart Sellers
Thanksgiving dinner looms over a grocery store in 1970s America, when Luna and Jane, immigrants from The Philippines and Korea and both medical student wives, strike up a conversation over matching coats and matching challenges. With a suspiciously frozen turkey in the oven, the two women bond over disco, Disneyland, and the drive to make a home that–until tonight– has felt so isolated. This Colorado premiere of a poignant, charming new play from Lloyd Suh, and directed by Jenna Moll Reyes (Twelfth Night) explores the longing that connects across barriers and against all odds. (Act Now – Performances are selling out!)

Thurs.-Sat., 7:30; Sat., 2:00; Sun., 4:00 p.m.
Tickets: Start at $20.75
