Football Finger Food!
Just a few more days until Super Bowl Sunday, the second biggest snacking day of the year (after Thanksgiving)! So we collected last-minute football finger-food recipes to make and enjoy during the big game! With kickoff at 4:30 p.m. (on NBC) we don’t bother with predictions about champions – but we do know you’ll want something to eat while you watch, so pick a few of these recipes and may the best team win!
By the way, if you’re reading this on Sunday, Angie’s Restaurant on Fourth Street between Wilcox and Jerry in Castle Rock has the perfect menu of last-minute appetizers for takeout, including fried mozzarella and calamari!
Fan Favorite: WINGS
It’s just wrong to watch a super bowl without wings, and the secret ingredient in Becky the Cookie Rookie’s recipe is…orange soda! Pick your favorite and add it with hot sauce (we vote for buffalo), plus garlic, butter and honey. It’s amazing how crispy these chicken morsels get from the low-to-high roast-o-rama in the oven!
Little Figgy Food has a Beer-Glazed Wings recipe with fresh ginger, garlic and cilantro, and for 40 more “next-level” chicken wings recipes, Delish has your personal fave (or soon to be) right here, from Bloody Mary Wings to Root Beer BBQ Wings.
Surprise ‘Em With Sliders
Pulled Pork Pickle Sliders will surprise your guests with a taste of dill over pulled pork seasoned with brown sugar, mustard and cider vinegar and prepared cole slaw. Talk about tang! Not exactly sliders, but just as mouth-watering are these Cheesesteak Pinwheels with tri-tip sliced beef and provolone wrapped up in pizza dough!

Here are 70 more loaded versions of the stacked and packed indulgence from Delish.
Meatless Morsels
We found these Buffalo Cauliflower Bites from Vegan with Curves, and Smoked Salmon Bites from A Flavor Journal. Just trade out the regular cream cheese for something lite, and put a little dollop on a slice of mini-pumpernickel.
Like garlic? How about five cloves’ worth? What about quick-melting cheese, like Gouda? Then try these Stuffed Mushrooms from Happy Foods Tube, sure to please your palate and make you want to do a touchdown dance.
