Just in time for Christmas, lots of festive, family-fun activities can be found near our community of Crystal Valley! From musicals for kids to performances of The Nutcracker, it’s a good weekend to take the kids to a show! For adults, Comedy Works brings back their hilarious Holiday Roast. And the entire family will love the old-fashioned variety show, Home for the Holidays.

This adorable play is BY children FOR children! The Highlands Ranch KidStage program brings this classic holiday tale to life on stage! Young actors portray the story of Buddy the Elf as he travels through the Candy Cane Forest, past the Sea of Swirly Twirly Gumdrops, and then through the Lincoln Tunnel in search of his real family. Fun elfin refreshments will also be available for sale.

A COLORADO NUTCRACKER
This version of Tchaikovsky’s classic ballet has a decidedly Colorado feel to it! Performed by the Colorado Youth Ballet, along with the professional musicians of the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs and the Colorado Springs Children’s Chorale, this holiday tradition is a unique performance that highlights local history alongside the well-known story of Clara, the Nutcracker Prince and the Sugar Plum Fairy.
The production substitutes real Colorado families throughout history for the characters in the ballet. The story is “how it might have happened that night in Colorado.” Don’t miss this production that celebrates not only the holidays, but the local community as well!
