WALK THROUGH LIGHTS
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, 4250 Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Rd., Colorado Springs
The Electric Safari, rated number one in Colorado when it comes to holiday lights, is located at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and features more than 85 light sculptures spanning 50 acres.
Denver Zoo, 2300 Steele St., Denver
That other big zoo in Colorado is a close second with Zoo Lights, which includes 70 acres of dazzling lights as well as Santa visits, live entertainment and other fun surprises.
Rockin’ Christmas, 1021 Neptunite Pl., Castle Rock
Check the local light works, rated number three in Colorado! And believe it or not, Rockin’ Christmas isn’t sponsored by the city or a business; it’s the hard work of your Christmas-lovin’ Castle Rock neighbors.
A Hudson Christmas, 6115 S. Santa Fe. Dr., Littleton
Located at the gorgeous Hudson Gardens and Events Center, A Hudson Christmas showcases “thousands of twinkling lights in majestic trees, visits with Santa (through December 23) and memories for the whole family.”
Denver Botanic Gardens, 1007 York St., Denver
The Blossoms of Light at the Botanic Gardens is not only a great visual experience, but also features tasty treats — like the Gardens’ yummy hot chocolate and brown sugar-glazed almonds.
Chatfield Farms, 8500 W. Deer Creek Canyon Rd., Littleton
The Botanic Gardens at Chatfield Farms has a Trail of Lights with everything from grand insect sculptures to an amazing 60-foot cottonwood tree with more than 35,000 lights, and a Magical Enchanted Forest!
DRIVE BY LIGHTS

DRIVE THROUGH LIGHTS
The Illumination Light Show is a different kind of pay-per-view event that you drive through at Jellystone Park in Larkspur (directions). Themed areas include Candy Land, Colorado Winter Land, the Nazarene Nativity and a 100-foot Christmas Tunnel. Segments of light shows are synchronized to music playing on your radio (staff will direct you to the radio station frequency at the entrance to the show).
The Illumination Light Show takes 10 to 30 minutes to drive through, with several pullover locations. The event charges per vehicle and by the number of occupants. For one to 14 people, the cost is $20. Weekend hours are Friday and Saturday: 5:30-10:30 p.m. and Sundays, 5:30-9:00 p.m.
