Lauren Daigle, the Summer Ball and a PGA Championship!

This weekend is chock-a-block full of entertainment near Castle Rock from Grammy and Dove-award winner Lauren Daigle to comedian Michael Yo and the all-vocal band FACE at the Castle. Next week is packed, too, with American Idol Phillip Phillips at the local amphitheater and the Comicon convention in Colorado Springs. So much to do and so many choices in and around the master-planned community of Crystal Valley!

LAUREN DAIGLE: BLESSING OFFOR
Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Lauren Daigle is a two-time Grammy®, seven-time Billboard Music Award, four-time American Music Award, and 10-time GMA Dove Music Award winner.  With over a billion streams and years of sold-out US and international tours to her name, Lauren Daigle continues to cement her status as a modern vocal powerhouse with a global, ever-growing fanbase.

Since the release of her GRAMMY® Award-winning, platinum-certified 2018 album Look Up Child – which includes the breakthrough hit single “You Say” – Daigle has been a mainstay on the Billboard charts. MOSHE KASHER
Moshe Kasher is an Emmy award winning host and the two-time bestselling author of Kasher in the Rye: The True Tale of a White Boy from Oakland Who Became a Drug Addict, Criminal, Mental Patient, and Then Turned 16. As well as Subculture Vulture: A Memoir in Six scenes. He has filmed two specials for Netflix, The Honeymoon Stand Up Special and Live in Oakland and hosted his own talk show on Comedy Central Problematic.

He co-hosts the hit podcast, The Endless Honeymoon with his wife, Natasha Leggero. He has appeared on Curb Your Enthusiasm, After Midnight, Another Period, Shameless, The Good Place, Brooklyn 99, Drunk History and more.

A versed writer, Kasher has written for several films, series and specials including, HBO’s Betty, Little America, Zoolander 2, Another Period, and the Comedy Central Roasts.

MICHAEL YO
A two-time Emmy nominee, Michael Yo is a comedian, actor, and host keeping busy in all of Hollywood’s platforms. The self-proclaimed “Half-Black Brother with a Korean Mother” is regular on the Joe Rogan Experience, host of the Michael Yo Show and fresh off his critically acclaimed comedy special Blasian. Right after having his son and a viral appearance showcasing his talents to the world on America’s Got Talent, Michael Yo brings his all new We’re Still Here 2020/21 Tour to your city.

In stand-up, Michael came up under the wings of Chelsea Handler and Jo Koy, now headlining all over the country. As an actor, Michael recently reoccurred on Kevin Can Wait, shot a Damon Wayan Jr.’s pilot Happy Together for CBS, and was a principal in Facebook’s upcoming Facebook Watch first sitcom series, Starter Pack. BMW/PGA CHAMPIONSHIP AT CASTLE PINES
Castle Pines Golf Club will host the BMW Championship Thursday-Sunday, August 22-25. DAVE MATTHEWS BAND
With a career spanning over 30 years, Dave Matthews Band is one of the most influential bands in rock history. In 1991, vocalist/guitarist Dave Matthews decided to put some songs he had written on tape and sought the assistance of drummer Carter Beauford and saxophonist LeRoi Moore, who were both accomplished jazz musicians in the local Charlottesville, VA music scene. 16-year-old bassist Stefan Lessard came on board shortly thereafter. Their infectious, distinctive sound garnered lots of early attention and a die-hard loyal fan base, catapulting the band into one of the most successful touring acts of the past three decades. The band has sold more than 25 million tickets since its inception, making them the second largest ticket-seller in history.

TOUCH A TRUCK
Castle Rock Police Department invites you to sit in the driver’s seat and explore the many vehicles that serve our community. Not only will you have an opportunity to climb inside and take pictures of the various trucks, their operators will be on hand to answer questions and teach you how they work.

The CRPD’s hope is for your family to leave with a better understanding about how these vehicles all play an important role in keeping our residents safe and secure.

PHILLIP PHILLIPS
Former American Idol winner, Phillip Phillips is best known for his melodic radio hit, “Home” which launched him to fame in 2011 and marked the most successful coronation hit of any American Idol winner to date. Shortly after “Home” climbed the charts, Phillips released his first full-length album The World From The Side Of The Moon, followed by Behind The Light and brought together by his 3rd release, Collateral. When the pandemic hit in 2020, Phillip, like many others, had to take a hard look at his life and career. After welcoming his son Patch in 2019, he found a new inspiration for writing music. 4 years after his last release, Phillips has brought us “Love Like That,” a song dedicated to the unconditional love he has for his wife and child. As he reintroduces himself to the world with his latest single, Phillips looks forward to reconnecting with his fanbase as he gets back on tour.

GREGORY ALAN ISAKOV
Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and now calling Colorado home, horticulturist/musician Gregory Alan Isakov has cast an impressive presence on the indie-rock and folk worlds with his six full-length studio albums: That Sea, The Gambler; This Empty Northern Hemisphere; The Weatherman; Gregory Alan Isakov with the Colorado Symphony; Evening Machines (nominated for a Grammy award for Best Folk Album), and his newest album, Appaloosa Bones. TRAIN & REO SPEEDWAGON 
Train is a multi-GRAMMY and Billboard award-winning band from San Francisco, CA that has had 14 songs on Billboard’s Hot 100 list since the release of their debut self- titled album. Train’s climb to the top began in San Francisco in 1994, going on to tenaciously building a loyal following, leading up to their own self- titled debut album, released by Columbia in 1998. CARIN LEÓN
Originally from Hermosillo, located in the center of the northwestern Mexican state of Sonora, León was raised in a family where music was always present. León embarked on his musical journey at the age of 15, taking his first steps by learning to play the guitar and developing skills in singing and songwriting. In 2018, León released his debut album, “Desvelada con Banda y Mariachi”, which propelled him to quickly dominate the Regional Mexican music scene as a performer, singer and songwriter.

Throughout his young career León has received countless nominations and multiple awards, including two Latin Grammys, one for “Best Norteño Album” in 2023 for his album “Colmillo de Leche” and “Best Regional Mexican Song” in 2022 for the song “Como lo Hice Yo”. In addition, León won an ASCAP Award for the song “Me La Aventé” as well as numerous Premio Lo Nuestro Awards (“Regional Mexican Breakthrough Artist,” “Best Male Artist” and “Banda Song of the Year”).

JEFF DYE LIVE
Jeff Dye is a nationally touring comedian, actor, and host. Jeff shot over 100 episodes of a new FOX game show called Who the Bleep is that? and was a recent guest on The Joe Rogan Experience. Jeff is currently filming his new comedy special, The Last Cowboy in LA at the world-famous Electric Jane in Nashville, TN. He starred in NBC’s comedy adventure series Better Late Than Never and can be seen on episodes of I Can See Your Voice and The Masked Singer on Fox. Dye has performed multiple times on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and has his own Comedy Central Presents special. 

He has also starred in numerous TV projects, including Money from Strangers, Girl Code, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, NBC’s I Can Do That, Better Late Than Never, and That Awkward Game Show. Jeff’s last two albums Dumb is Gooder and Live from Madison, are playing on Sirius XM and both are top 10 albums on the Billboard Comedy Charts.

Jeff is a recurring guest on The Greg Gutfeld Show where he has received praise for his raw unfiltered comedic viewpoint, bringing a new style of edge and honesty. Dye’s passion is bringing love and positivity through laughter while maintaining truth to everyone he encounters.
