Live Fireworks Displays Near Crystal Valley!
The Crystal Valley area is one of the very few locations in Colorado that will be offering not only one, but THREE, fireworks displays this year! Set up to be viewed live—from your backyard, at a prime location from inside your car, or even from downtown Castle Rock—you can experience the thrill that others will be watching online. Or if you’d rather stay in, you can catch all three shows simultaneously from Douglas County’s live-streaming website!

VIRTUAL YOGA
Stretch your muscles and your mind with this weekly online yoga session, perfect for all ages and experience levels. In-person classes are on hold, but yoga teacher Sharon Oliver will be leading a morning practice online that combines yoga poses with mindfulness meditations to refresh and restore. FIRST FRIDAY WITH DUELING PIANOS
Castle Rock’s First Friday celebrations are back, with the first of many outdoor live concerts in Festival Park! You can hang out in the park with social distancing guidelines in place, enjoying live music, food trucks, and kids’ activities. Join a 5K After 5-themed race at 5:30 p.m. if you’re feeling extra energetic!
Tonight’s concert features a high-energy interactive group of musicians from Howl at the Moon. They’ll lead the crowd in a fun round of Dueling Pianos and encourage you to belt out your favorite tunes. There will also be crafts for the kids to take home as well as yard games. Friday fun for the entire family!

SETTING OF THE SUN AND RISING OF THE FULL MOON HIKE
What could be a more perfect way to enjoy the beauty of Colorado than by being out in nature as the summer sun sets behind the mountains just as the full moon is rising over Raccoon Knob on Cherokee Mountain. This guided hike in the backcountry adjacent to Cherokee Ranch is considered a moderate hike—participants should be physically fit and over 10 years in age.
Wear good hiking shoes and bring a headlamp or flashlight. In addition to the stunning vistas, you’ll also hear tales of the rich history of the area and listen to animals as they settle in for the night.

THE 17TH AVENUE ALL-STARS
PACE Center’s weekly Drive-In Event brings you a bunch of highly talented singers this week! These National Acappella Champions will entertain the entire family with a show that features comedy, choreography and incredible vocals on tunes from the 1950’s to the present.
The “Allstars” have been named the official anthem singers of the Denver Broncos and are celebrating their 29th year as one of Colorado’s top shelf acts. Featuring chart toppers such as I’m Only Human and Usher’s Without You, this vocal group performs a range of top 40 pop tunes that span the decades. Don’t miss them as they sing right outside your car, with the sound coming through on your FM radio!

JUMP AND GLOW

INDEPENDENCE DAY VIRTUAL 5K
The HRCA Independence Day 5K is still on—with a few alterations. Instead of an in-person race, this will be a Virtual run, where you choose your own space to run the race within a two-week window, and then upload your results. You’ll still receive a race t-shirt, custom bib and custom finisher certificate. If you previously signed up, you’ll have the option to stay in the race and be credited the difference in registration prices or opt-out of the virtual race and be credited accordingly.

THREE FIREWORKS DISPLAYS
You can choose between three sensational fireworks displays this year—or watch them all online! Whichever display you choose to watch—Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch or Parker—be sure to watch from a social distance. You can drive to recommended locations posted on the Douglas County website and watch from your car, watch from your own neighborhood, or see the simultaneous stream of all three online.
Castle Rock’s show will be visible along the I-25 corridor and from Downtown Castle Rock, including the Town’s breweries. Highlands Ranch fireworks will launch from Mountain Vista High School but the high school property and streets in the area will be closed to discourage on-site viewing, and Parker’s fireworks will be launched from near the Pinery. If Stage 2 fire restrictions are in place on July 4th, the event will be canceled.

FARMERS’ MARKET SUNDAY MORNING
