THE SOUND OF MUSIC
The final collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein was destined to become the world’s most beloved musical. Featuring a trove of cherished songs, including “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” “My Favorite Things,” “Do Re Mi,” “Sixteen Going on Seventeen” and the title number, The Sound of Music won the hearts of audiences worldwide, earning five Tony Awards and five Oscars.

The inspirational story, based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp, follows an ebullient postulate who serves as governess to the seven children of the imperious Captain von Trapp, bringing music and joy to the household. But as the forces of Nazism take hold of Austria, Maria and the entire von Trapp family must make a moral decision.

ALL THAT JAZZ: CHICAGO
After 25 years, CHICAGO is still the one musical with everything that makes Broadway shimmy-shake: a universal tale of fame, fortune, and all that jazz, with one show stopping song after another and the most astonishing dancing you’ve ever seen. Set in Chicago in the jazz age, the musical is based on a 1926 play of the same title by reporter Maurine Dallas Watkins, about actual criminals and the crimes on which she reported!

As the longest-running musical in Broadway history, no wonder CHICAGO has been honored with six Tony Awards®, two Olivier Awards, a Grammy®, and thousands of standing ovations. You’ll want to sing along to “All That Jazz,” “When You’re Good to Mama,” and “Razzle Dazzle.” As Pikes Peak Center celebrates its 25th anniversary — you’ve got to come see why the name on everyone’s lips is still…CHICAGO.

CLASSIC ALBUMS LIVE: LET IT BE
Note for note, cut for cut, Classic Albums Live is back with The Beatles’ Let It BeLet It Be is the 12th and final studio album by the English rock band The Beatles. It was released on May 8, 1970, almost a month after the group’s breakup, in tandem with the motion picture of the same name. Like most of the band’s previous releases, the album topped record charts in many countries, including both the U.S. and the U.K. However, the critical response was generally unfavorable, and Let It Be came to be regarded as one of the most controversial rock albums in history with hits like “Across the Universe,” “Let It Be,” “Maggie Mae,” “Get Back,” “The Long and Winding Road,” and more. After the album, enjoy a set of The Beatles’ greatest hits.
